Ipi yathoma ngomhlaka-7 kuSinyikhaba 1882. Ipi yamaNdebele yayihlome ngeengidi zomsizi nemikhonto, bese yamaBhuru ihlome ngeengidi zeenhlamvu idoswa phambili nguPiet Joubert. Iingidi zeenhlamvu bezidumuza msinya kunalezo zomsizi, yeke inengi lamabutho wamaNdebele lafa ngelangelo, kwathi ngemva kwalokho amaNdebele ahlehla abalekela erholweni.
